DALLAS – Senior right-hander Triston Dixon of the Texas State baseball team was one of 81 players named to the initial watch list for the 18 annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in the NCAA Division I Baseball, announced by the association on Thursday.
Dixon is coming off a season in which he went 8-0 with a 2.93 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 58.1 innings. He appeared in 27 games with one start, that coming in the opening weekend of the campaign.
