Gary Neville has hit back at fellow Sky pundit Jamie Carragher after the former Liverpool defender poked fun at his ideas to improve Manchester United's ownership structure.

It was announced over the weekend that Sheikh Jassim of Qatar had pulled out of the race to buy United, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to purchase a 25 per cent stake in the club.

Neville, who made 602 appearances for the Old Trafford club, responded to the news on Sunday morning by outlining six 'non-negotiables on a takeover of Manchester United' on X, before listing 16 questions he felt United fans would want answering in light of the upcoming minortiy investment.
