Women’s Tennis Ends Historic Season In BIG EAST Finals

CAYCE, S.C. -- The Creighton women's tennis season came to an end in the BIG EAST Championship match as the third-seeded Bluejays fell to the two-time defending BIG EAST champions and top-seeded Xavier, 4-0, at the BIG EAST Championships Presented by Jeep on Sunday morning.

Creighton finishes its historic season with an 17-8 record after falling for just the second time in eight neutral site matches this spring. Among the many accomplishments for the Bluejays this season were the team's first appearance in the BIG EAST Championship semifinals and finals, longest winning streak to start a season under head coach Tom Lilly and five individuals with 20 or more wins this season.
